Pikes PeakThis is a featured page

Also known as "America's Mountain", Pikes Peak is one of the most famous mountains in America. Standing at 14,110 feet, it towers over Colorado Springs and truly defines our area.

There are many ways to explore Pikes Peak:
  • Hike Barr Trail - 13 Miles one-way
    • You should be in fairly good physical shape to attempt this
    • Leave early, you'll want to be at the top by early afternoon, to avoid thunderstorms
  • Ride the Cog Railroad
    • It's a little expensive, but it's the easiest & most enjoyable way to visit the Peak
  • Drive up to the top
    • Use extreme caution! It can be a little nerve racking
    • Use your low gears to come back down, overheated brakes fail!
